About the role

A Broadcast and Media Systems Technical Operator supports the delivery of broadcasting services such as television, radio, podcasts and internet streaming services. You will work as part of a team to ensure that services and transmissions are maintained without impact to live broadcasts.

Your workplace could be located in a broadcast or operations centre, at customer premises, or outdoors on transmission sites. You'll need to ensure that your working environment is safe from hazards and that the required equipment is safe to use.

Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work unsocial hours.


The apprenticeship will typically take 22 months to complete.
